Update WordPress 2.8

Sehabis maghrib tadi sengaja login hanya sebatas pengen mengecek blog yang sebelumnya sempet gak bisa diakses akibat adanya kelupaan memperpanjang domain. Tapi sekarang alhamdulillah sudah bisa dibuka kembali Setelah WP-Admin terbuka, tertera informasi bahwa available untuk WP 2.8. Lantas, mencoba upgrade WordPress terbaru itu.

Untuk menghindari ketidaksabaran proses update, ketika melakukan proses tersebut sambil plurking, dan ada beberapa respon dari beberapa Plurker menanyakan perbedaan yang ada dari versi sebelumnya. Boro-boro tahu, prosesnya saja gagal terus akibat koneksi itu. Dan, karena ada juga yang bercanda meminta review-nya, saya comot saja dari postingan lain yang sudah ada (LOL)

Akhirnya, meski dengan koneksi empot-empotan kelar juga update WP 2.8 ini Dan ternyata dari segi tampilan pada halaman WP-Admin, memang sepertinya tidak ada perubahahan yang signifikan dibandingkan dengan WordPress 2.7, namun diinformasikan WordPress 2.8 menghadirkan kecepatan dalam penggunaannya dan versi terbaru ini mengatasi 790 bug yang ada. Bawaan lainnya untuk versi ini antara lain updater untuk theme dibuat seperti updater untuk plugin pada versi sebelumnya, yaitu kita dapat melihat direktori themes langsung dan menginstall theme yang kita pilih dengan sekali klik.

Cukup Puas atas Sebuah Pengakuan Meskipun Jauh dari Kata Popularitas

Menyiapkan, Upload dan Install File Wordpress

Melanjutkan tulisan mengenai cara membuat blog gratisan dengan mendapatkan domain gratis dan hosting yang gratis juga. Di kesempatan ini untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai langkah2 dalam menyiapkan, upload dan instal file Wordpress.

File wordpress yang akan di install perlu didownload dulu script wordpress nya, untuk download versi aslinya silahkan klik disini, atau kalau mau download dari yang saya sediakan sehingga tidak perlu lagi langkah-langkah mempersiapkan file untuk di upload (kecuali content file wp-config.php perlu dirubah dulu karena harus disesuaikan data-data mengenai databasenya), klik saja disini .
