Itulah sebagian dari singel milik pemenang American Idol Season 7 yang baru saja selesai dengan judul “The Time of My Life” by David Cook sebagai Sang jawara.

Setelah beberapa bulan kompetisi berjalan dan eliminasi demi eliminasi, tersisa dua kontestan yang hampir sama kekuatannya. Bukan hanya itu, namanya pun sama yaitu keduanya bernama depan David. Keputusan akhir dari vote (pemilihan) berjuta warga Amerika, akhirnya David Cook mengalahkan David Archuleta. Konon, jumlah suara yang diperoleh keduanya adalah tidak jauh berbeda,

Saya kira, kemenangan yang dicapai David Cook merupakan adanya faktor keberuntungan. Adapun alasannya yaitu bukan karena kekurangan tetapi keduanya sama-sama memiliki kemampuan yang hamper sama. Dimana, keduanya memiliki kemampuan teknik bernyanyi yang hampir sama baiknya. Diluar faktor tersebut yang menonjol dari seorang David Cook yaitu power dalam bernyanyinya, sementara David Archuleta memiliki aura bintang yang bagus, muda dan ganteng. Faktor lainnya yang sama yaitu memiliki attitude yang sama-sama bagus.

Pada saat show terakhir para juri terkesan lebih condong menjagokan David Archuleta, khususnya Simon Cowel memberikan ucapan bahwa dari tiga babak penampilan dua kontestan itu David Archuleta menang telak 3:0 atas David Cook. Tapi hasil akhir berkata lain. Faktor lainnya mungkin karena David Cook menunjukkan kematangannya jika dilihat dari segi usia.

Argument tersebut yang menguatkan pendapat saya tentang keberuntungan David Cook. Nah, bagaimana tentang pendapat rekan-rekan semua?
